Its been a few days since What Lies Ahead released, and still allot going on. I am still pushing my writing hard (trying to average 4k to 5k kept words a day), as I have a lot of plans. Here’s a peak at what’s going on.
What Lies Ahead
Feedback from the new Destiny book is rolling in, and so far it’s pretty solid. I don’t know if this one will be super popular or not, considering its 4 deep in a very interconnected series where you have to read all the books to follow it, but I’m still happy with how many people are reading it so far. I still want to hear any feedback, so keep it coming.
False Signs (John Taylor #2)
10 chapters in out of 15 planned chapters have been written and mostly edited, so 2/3 done with this book. I’m pushing for it dropping the 1st week of July
No Good Deed & Cry Havok
The final 2 books in the Destiny saga are outlined, and I’ve started writing one of them. Once False Signs is done, I will start on these in earnest. For reasons that will be clear when you read No Good Dead, I have to finish both of these together, since they need to drop back to back with as little of a break as possible.
John Taylor #3 (untitled as of yet)
Its almost done being outlined, and I am super excited for where this book goes. It will bring back stuff from book #1 that was, while not unanswered, was unexplored (for those who have asked, still no Renata. I know people liked her, but as of now I don’t plan on bringing her back. I think you will like the character that gets added in False Signs however).
The Imperium Saga
A new, much more sci-fi story, is in the works. First book is completely outlined and waiting on me to write 2 Taylor books and 2 Destiny books. Its an idea I’ve been working on for a while, and hopefully I can get it writing it by Christmas.
So basically, I have a whole lot of stuff outlined and waiting to be written. Turns out thinking up the ideas is faster than the actual writing process.
Travis,
I really have enjoyed your stories so far (Rebirth; Destiny’s Road and The Ties That Bind). I will be purchasing the others to put on my Kindle Fire through Amazon. I read many stories through SOL and I stumbled across your real name. Why did you choose the name “Lumpy” for SOL?
Rexford Dam (Call me Rex)
I hadn’t originally intended to publish anything, or even write anything main stream, when I started, and thought it better to use a pen name. I picked the name mostly because it was an old nickname when I was in High School.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the books and I have a lot more planned. Thanks so much for supporting my writing.
