I am really enjoying ‘Playing by Ear’. There is a misspelled word here:
“Pump the breaks right fucking now.
    breaks should be brakes

Glad you’re liking it. A new version is updated to Amazon and should be live tomorrow. Don’t forget to rate it if you haven’t yet, it really helps new readers fine the books.

I just finished the Imperium series and truly enjoyed it. A few comments about the Sands of Saturn. You went into nauseating detail about what it took to prepare for the final battles but you spent very little time on the battles themselves. I felt you could have spent more time on them. Also you made a mistake at the very end of the book. They should have been going into the temple of Jupiter not Zeus. Zeus was a Greek God not Roman.

I enjoyed your Charlie Nelson books so much that I am rereading them. The characters seem to look live, the story compelling. You mentioned on your website that you ask enjoy reading novels so I hope you will not mind me recommending The Kilted Cowboy written by I W Murrison. Best wishes and we writing Tony Adams

I’ve read a couple of your series and start reading the Destiny series because I enjoyed them. Now I read that you don’t plan to finish the series. This is poor planing on your part. It makes me hesitant to read any more of your books as you may decide you just don’t feel like finishing the series. The best way to handle something like that is write a book that wraps up the story so your readers are not left hanging (and feelining peeved at you). There’s something to be said for an author who knows when to end a series rather than continuing long after it no longer makes sense. However leaving the story unfinished is unsatisfying. Thanks.

The reason the Destiny Series isn’t being continued was, in fact, poor planning. It was the first thing I ever wrote, before I planned series out properly. Current series I write an outline of the entire series arc before I start writing the first book, so I know where it’s ending (well, series that are serial in nature. The Taylor books are episodic, so there isn’t an arc to follow). I’m sorry you feel like you don’t want to read any of the other books, but a rushed, unplanned final just trying to wrap things up would be equally unsatisfying for all around.

    Mr. Starnes,
I just finished Country Roads, and at the end looked back at your other book titles, realizing afresh how many I’ve already read.
It seems that you have a real fan in me.
Please do keep up the great work.

Will there be more ebook novels sequels to the Imperium series. And once the Carthagian Empire is fully and completely handled could there be consideration for gradually exploring the rest of the continent of Africa, Asia, into the continents of North America South America and in between them Central America. Pacific Ocean Micronesean Islands etc, Australia. And maybe work with Amazon Studios/Amazon and MGM Studios on gradually combining the Imperium series with their entire Stargate franchise lore and content etc. Which honestly the first Stargate Franchise hostile extraterrestrial species/Race Civilization/culture and sub-Civilization/subculture the Goauld Empire might be the perfect storyline opportunity for genuinely putting the Roman reactionaries in the perspective shoes of the slaves and those that they merely view as Barbarians therefore putting themselves above them. And in case of multi generational gradual visual physical aging process storyline it would be worth strongly considering the aspects of the visual gradual aging process accumulation of outward appearances visual individual in-depth detailed evidences/signs such as wrinkle accumulation/growth/expansion connected to gradual years and decades possibly however many generations of emotional facial expressions through dynamic wrinkles gradually accumulatively transitionally turning/transforming into static wrinkles.

No. There are some issues I’m concerned with for bookapy, so for now I’m not putting books back there. If you use paypal, you can reach me at tstarnes@gmail.com and I can just sell you one directly if that’s easier for you, however. Patrons also have access to full versions of the books if you wanted to go that route.

On your latest book Dissonance there is one major thing that you missed. When Charlie signed his record contract
there is a Federal law known as the Coogan Act all Minors must have part of there wages put into a trust until they are 18.
but even with this trust his parents could take the rest of the money. On a closing note you are one of my favorite authors
having read all of you books.

    Regards

Some time early next year, April maybe. My publisher has the file and has started working on it, but no word about release dates yet. It is coming though. The first three books of Volume 2 have been licensed by Podium and will be guaranteed to come out.

I’m just starting book 6 of “Imperium” and something is driving me bonkers since “the far east” first began supplying gun powder in this war. I’m convinced the first pilot who they thought died in book 1 actually survived and is the one pushing Asia’s advances. It’s been 6 books, Travis! Put me out of my misery and just admit it!😂😅 Love the series! Can’t wait to dive into “Imperium 2”.

Volume 1 is the war against carthage. Volume 2 is the war against the east with a 5 year break in between (I would have liked to keep them as one 12 book set, but my audio book publisher required it)

I have not listened to any of your other audiobook series, but I listened to Imperium (up to #8) 4 times by now. Honestly, I have not purchased any of your books, I torrented all of them, and I have been living paycheck-to-paycheck for my entire adult life. If you actually see this comment, I just have one question for you: I have $27 USD set aside this next month in my budget (August 2026), where should I buy The Clouds of Caelus Audiobook (Imperium series 2, book 3) that will provide you with the most of the profit that your fans spend? Is it here on this site? I do not want to give amazon or audible 90% of the profits that belong to you for making this wonderful Historical Fiction Series.
