His Name Opened Doors. His Honor Closed Them.
Instead of joining the ranks of the political elite, Innes Kingsford chose to become an ensign in the navy, making him the black sheep of one of the greatest families in the Republic of Concordia. That wasn’t enough for his family to keep from using him as a pawn. When his assignment to the strike cruiser Illustrious is orchestrated by his father as part of a political scheme, Innes finds himself stationed at remote Shiro Station under the command of Lieutenant Kyle Wexler, a member of his family’s greatest house rivals. Things only get more complex as Innes discovers conspiracy, criminal enterprises, and possible interstellar war converging around him.
Caught between his oath to the navy and his father’s machinations, can Innes manage to do his duty without losing his commission or his life?
