Broken Ground (Taylor #12)

Some Secrets Don’t Stay Buried
When Taylor learns that Roy Breyer, his former military mentor and the man who shaped him into the operator he is today, has died in a small Minnesota town, he expects to pay his respects and help Roy’s daughter Milly navigate the aftermath, what he finds instead is a wall of silence. The sheriff won’t release the body, the coroner calls it an accident but refuses to say what kind, tnd everyone Taylor talks to seems terrified to answer even the simplest questions. As Taylor digs deeper, he uncovers a disturbing pattern, six “accidental” deaths in eighteen months, all in a town of fewer than two thousand people. Someone is killing the residents of Glacier Falls and when Taylor refuses to stop asking questions, it becomes clear they’re willing to add his name to the list.

They’re about to learn that some men don’t scare easily.
